Wow! what a response. I am quite happy....
and by know you should have all received emails from me with your swap partner.
I suggest you contact them for addresses, etc.
You may have questions on likes and dislikes...colors or fibers...
some of you know one another and others do not.
A few guidelines...
As with all Swaps they are based on the honor system, meaning you made a commitment and are expected to follow through.
If for some reason you cannot, please email me as soon as possible.
I am listing the names of the people who are officially in the Magic Yarn Ball swap.
If your name does not appear below and you had left me a comment,it is because I did not have a valid email or was unable to contact you.
This swap is based on the Knitter's Magic Yarn Ball discussed in the book KNITALONG.
You begin at the heart of your gift with a small unique gift and begin winding a skein around it adding every so often a trinket, or tool,or something small, something that will surprise and delight the receiver as she knits from the ball.
So ideas might include a fabulous button,a special tin of hand cream,a small pincushion,
an antique bauble...just a starting point for you to get thinking.
You could add some stitch markers,a pair of tiny scissors,
some velvet ribbon...as you wind along.
Let's all have fun.
Swaps should be received no later than Jan 31st,2010
Please leave a comment here when you mail yours ,as well as when you receive it.
I am thinking about starting a flickr group
to showcase pictures of your magic balls...I will let you know the details of that.
